INDONESIAN-based international humanitarian organization ACT (Aksi Cepat Tanggap, Fast-Responsive Action) to open its 100th branch office, at Ruko Diponegoro, on Jalan Kartini, Magelang Municipality, Central Java, Friday (April 16, 2021).
Magelang Mayor dr Muchammad Nur Aziz, Sp.PD leads ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the ACT branch.
Mr Aziz says, when it comes to reputation, it is, no doubt that ACT has become synonymous with charitable works.
"I do hope ACT will be able to set up partnership and cooperation with people and municipal government of Magelang, as well as other organizations", Mr Aziz speaks.
He states, humanitarian works do not always mean disaster-related services, but also include charitable contributions, providing help or raising money for those in need.
Giyanto, Head of Magelang Municipality ACT office, says, the opening of the organization's branch is not merely a ceremonial occasion.
"This is a good start to encourage and to expand kindliness in Magelang", he utters.
Beside providing humanitarian and disaster relief aid, ACT is now drawing up a new charity program.
"We are preparing ourselves for a national-scale Ramadhan Meal Program. We are still making logistics ready, which will subsequently be distributed to people of Magelang who really deserve them", he explains.
ACT, he continues, to cooperate with The Indonesian Army (TNI) and National Police to distribute the logistics.
Established on 2004, ACT is now headquartered at 11th floor of Menara 165, on Jalan TB Simatupang, East Cilandak, South Jakarta.
The organization is known by its slogan "Care for Humanity".[sahrudin]
